“[Issue #1] is a great start to this dark fantasy series from my good friends over at BreakThru Comics! This first issue isn't big on the fantasy, but it sure as hell is dark. The main character is perpetually down on his luck. Ever since childhood, things seem to have been stacked against him. I'm a big fan of the main character, Ryker. I like his depressing vibe, I love his look and I’m excited to learn more about his past as we watch him grow in the present. The fantasy aspect is a bit of a teaser in this first issue. We see some characters and hear some things that hint at the genre, but we don't really get a full taste of it yet. I can tell we'll be getting a ton more fantasy in the next issue, and I'm all here for it! The art is one of my favorite things about the book. It's dark, gritty, and fits the story perfectly. Martin did a phenomenal job with that! Overall; Offspring has a lot of potential to be an action packed and emotional ride. I can't wait to see how this story progresses!

Okay wow! I liked Issue 1, but I loved Issue 2! This issue added a lot more of the fantasy elements I was hoping for. We also got introduced to a lot of great new characters that will be important to the series. They were all introduced so naturally and fluidly. No new information felt forced or confusing. It was paced beautifully and I was sad when it was over. Plus, that cliffhanger! If what happened is real, that's gonna be heartbreaking (I want heartbreak)! Again, Martin Muñoz did a phenomenal job on the art. That black and white grit that I adore! All of the wonderful little details had me constantly zooming in to admire his work. It adds so much to the atmosphere and storytelling that goes beyond all of the words on the page. Overall, this was excellent! I'd say it's my favorite book from BreakThru so far! I am extremely excited for more of this series and to see how these characters end up mixing. This is definitely one that I highly highly recommend!”
